If you have an empty partition and one that contains data, you should delete the empty partition and resize the other one larger instead of merging the two partitions. IMPORTANT! I am using a BH6 motherboard with a 10Gb hard drive, and was wondering about partition sizes. It seems like I can not FDISK a partition any greater than 2Gb. Each partition is 15M rows. I aggregate to 100MB for each partition in the Wizard. But when I do a full process, and then check the aggregation size by directly connecting to the cube via BIDS, I'm seeing only aggregation sizes of 803bytes. I think I have SP4 installed. It's v9.00.3200 Enterprise.
